Scott can still remember the three albums his father brought home with the family’s first CD player: Whitney Houston’s self-titled debut, Alabama’s Greatest Hits, and Bernstein conducting Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. The die was cast: to this day, his musical curiosity and knowledge remains wide-ranging and unexpected.

While growing up on a farm in Northern Ontario, Scott’s studies of classical piano and violin eventually led him to a Master’s Degree in vocal performance from the Royal Academy of Music (London). In subsequent years, he performed as a countertenor throughout Europe, Asia and North America. Absorbing musical genres and mastering three languages along the way, Scott sought to complement his performing career by
drawing on his encyclopedic knowledge of music, both classical and contemporary.

After receiving a certificate in Music Business from UCLA, Scott worked as Music Coordinator at the legendary LipSync Music, one of LA’s premiere licensing companies. After two successful years there, he moved on to advance his career in music supervision, all the while retaining a role as production assistant for KCRW music director Anne Litt’s celebrated program, Morning Becomes Eclectic.

A member of the Guild of Music Supervisors, Scott works tirelessly to elevate TV, film and commercial projects with fresh & quintessential sounds. Recent projects include the upcoming Netflix series Tiny Pretty Things (in collaboration with Natasha Duprey), and the acclaimed feature film Honey Bee.
